When I rest in an Embrace, I feel loved and cared for unconditionally. My understanding is that the feeling of being loved and cared for comes from me; it’s my reaction to the unconditional quality of the Embraces. The Embraces don’t care or love.
Unconditional and Heartless
The unconditional is a radically different perspective from our ordinary human perspective. It’s only now, no past, no future. Holding everything as it is. No evaluation. No good nor evil.
You need time, preferences and processing capacity to judge, and the Embraces lack all of this. This is the tremendous beauty of the Embraces, the radical unconditional.
Judging or Not
The unconditional perspective can be perceived as cold and uncaring from a human perspective. We are so used to living in a world of judgments. What is right and what is wrong, what to love and what to hate. To choose and evaluate is ingrained in us. And that is great! Though the unconditional perspective is different.
Caring for Offspring
We mammals and our relatives, the birds, care for our offspring. Our newborn and newly hatched can’t survive without parents, making a massive sacrifice. This is the original source of love and care. And we humans have expanded it to wider and wider circles. Our ability to feel love, open our hearts, and care for everything, from a fly to refugees and trees, to the whole global ecosystem and future generations, is astonishing. A development we should be proud of, not project onto something outside us.
Move Between and Inform Each Other
We can move between our human caring and loving view and the unconditional view of our Embraces. Letting them inform and support each other in us, as us.
Owning our Human Capacity for Love
If we own that the love is coming from us, that we are the ones loving and caring, it’s empowering, and the responsibility to love and care falls on us. If we see it as something coming from the outside, we are like children, and we are diminishing our remarkable capacity.
Our human capability to love and care for everything around us is our gift to planet Earth. A gift that can blossom inside all our unconditional wider Embraces.
